About this role
The Content Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing Anact’s content, storytelling, and messaging. This position serves as the primary writer, editor, and strategist for our communications efforts including our social media outlets, website, and in person activations.
In this role you will be responsible for; content creation and strategy, building and executing a communications calendar, communicating with Anact stakeholders, customers, and community ensuring that our brand voice is clear and felt in all of our messaging. Reporting directly to the founder and CEO, you will have the ability to collaborate closely on Anact’s key messaging, growing the business, brand reputation, and community.
You will be part of a small and nimble team directly contributing to the revenue, growth, and profitability of Anact, while job descriptions are meant to help set initial expectations and direction for a role, you have the unique opportunity to shape what your position and career path look like at Anact.
If you worked here this past month, here are some things you might have been involved in:
- Creating and implementing content strategy and calendar for holiday
- Supporting the promotion of in person speaking events for Anact’s CEO
- Collaborating on storytelling for a SX activation
- Managing and building Anact’s social accounts and presence
- Building community with Anact’s customers and stakeholders through communication and invitation for engagement

You can communicate effectively and empathetically through writing, visual story telling, and speaking (in person and on the phone). You can embody the voice of a brand to ensure authenticity and outreach. You are able to meet people where they are and craft messaging that brings them along into the world that Anact is building.

You do what you say you’re going to do. Full stop. If a pivot becomes necessary, or a deadline needs to change, you communicate this early and forthrightly. If you do not feel you can execute on a task or commitment you communicate that honestly, and early, and collaborate to find a compromise or solution. You follow up, pay attention to details, and show up on time to ensure we have a team that trusts one another, and build a reputation that earns your customers’ and partners’ trust.
You can plan AND execute
You recognize the critical need for calendars, strategy, and are deadline driven - however can also recognize the importance of seizing opportunities when they come up and are ready with comment that is thoughtful and measured. You can straddle creativity and pragmatism - and recognize the critical role that our words play in building community.

You are a creative high performer and innovative in your approach to all decisions, opportunities, and problems. You never take a first offer. Being told no means you are negotiating well (or not speaking to the right person). When presented with a choice you explore every angle and ensure you have exhausted all options before making a final decision. Compensation
This role will begin as a contracted position paid on an hourly basis. Opportunity for this to become a full time role with benefits will be reviewed after 90 days.
