Anact is more than a sustainable towel company. We are a movement. We are a movement to inspire ourselves and others that by taking small acts, anything is possible. And we mean anything. Because of our experiences, we believe it is our job to focus our actions on the role that the textile industry plays on people and the climate crisis. However, we recognize there are many other major social and environmental issues as they relate to our global community.

That’s why we use the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as our NORTH STAR and partner with changemakers in their respective fields to take action.

  • August 2019 - We visited the entire supply chain from farm to factory to meet the factory owners and factory workers helping bring Anact product to life. Watch footage from our trip here.
  • May 2019 - We helped pass legislation to legalize hemp in Florida. This was important for us to do because we want US farmers to be able to grow hemp for the US markets that we sell to.
  • December 2019 - We launched a reusable tote bag to raise awareness of legislation in Florida that supports the use of single use plastic bags. We collected several hundred signatures to change this legislation to protect the sunshine state for plastic pollution.
  • August 2020 - In collaboration with Surfear Negra and Malcolm Jackson , NY Times Photographer, we brought to life a tote bag to raise awareness of the stigmas and stereotypes that prevent people of color from being connected to the ocean. Through this collaboration, we sent more than 10 girls to surf camp in 2020.
  • October 2020 - We held our first drive-in event in our hometown Jacksonville, Florida. We partnered with local changemakers in the community to screen the film Good Hair, a documentary by Chris Rock. This drive-in event created a safe space for women of color to discuss The Crown Act and the stigmas and bias that women in our local community have had to endure in their lives to fit into a certain definition of physical beauty.
  • March 2021 - We held our 2nd Drive-in event to raise awareness for women who ran for office in our local community while inspiring the next generation to run.
  • April 2021 - We will be hosting our 3rd Drive-in event in honor of Earth Day on April 22nd. We will screen the documentary, The True Cost, a documentary near and dear to our hearts and the why behind what we do.
